Local election results 2016: Kingston upon Hull

THE Liberal Democrats enjoyed gains in Hull overnight.The party took the Avenue ward from Labour and the vacant Holderness ward.It was a welcome boost for the Lib Dems whose numbers have dwindled since the party's high point in the city when it ran the council from 2007 to 2011.However, Labour remains comfortably in control with a 19 seat majority.
