Frances O’Grady told the annual conference of the Communication Workers Union that previous sell-offs in the rail and utility sectors had led to higher train fares, rocketing energy prices and bumper pay for executives.
The CWU has launched a campaign against Royal Mail privatisation, while civil servants and teachers are among other workers involved in industrial action over jobs, pay and spending cuts.

“The TUC will always back our unions, including over co-ordinated industrial action wherever unions want it and whenever workers vote for it.”
