York Council remains hung as Labour suffers losses
Labour remain the largest party on York Council despite suffering heavy losses, including that of their former deputy council leader.
Tracey Simpson-Laing lost her seat in the Acomb ward, with former party leader also among the casualties, losing his seat in Micklegate.
It was an improved performance for the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats, who gained 14 and 12 seats respectively.

Hide AdLabour remain the largest party with 15, 11 seats fewer than they won in 2011.
The Greens doubled their group from two to four.
All party leaders said they would begin talks very shortly, to find a way forward for the city.
