Pub theatre takes a bow
Leeds actor Dean Smith took a break from rehearsals to serve up the first beer of a new venture at West Yorkshire Playhouse.
A Play, a Pie and a Pint launches at the theatre next Tuesday and invites audiences to watch a performance while enjoying a bite to eat and a drink.
Dean – best known for playing Philip Ryan in BBC series Waterloo Road – is performing in Schoolboy/Lover (Three So Far), the first of three short original plays on at the Playhouse until the end of November, which offer the £10 tickets including a pie and pint.
