Rain turns Havana streets to rivers
Streets in Cuba's capital, Havana, were turned into shallow rivers as a weakening Tropical Storm Paula continued to wreak havoc with heavy rains that knocked out power.
By late on Thursday, Paula’s maximum sustained winds had diminished to about 45mph with some higher gusts, said the US National Hurricane Centre in Miami. By the time the storm has left Cuba it will have dumped up to 10in (25cm) of rain in some areas.
