Rape accused remanded
A man has appeared in court charged with raping two women in separate incidents in Leeds.
Michael Cardy, 24, of Allerton Grange Croft, Roundhay, Leeds, is accused of raping a woman in Westbury Place South, Belle Isle, on August 15.
He is charged with raping a second woman in Lovell Park, Grafton Street, Little London, last Friday, September 20.
Cardy spoke only to confirm his personal details during yesterday’s hearing at Leeds Magistrates’ Court and was remanded into custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court on October 9.
