Dean Henderson. Little to do in truth. A steady evening. 6.

Chris Basham. Not too many of his trademark surges forward. But another consistent defensive performance from the ultra-reliable stalwart. 7

John Egan. Did not have many alarms with Jiminez and confirmed his status as one of the division's top defenders - and then produced a mountain of icing by way of the winner. 8.

Jack O'Connell. As if he had never been away as the band got back together at the back. Booked. 7.

George Baldock. High energy, discipline, heart and endeavour as ever. Had a chance to be the late hero with a header. 7.

Oliver Norwood. A few lovely pings and was United's go-to man a fair bit. Up against two quality operators in Neves and Moutinho. 6

Sander Berge. Produced some nice touches without excelling, but took responsibility and helped the team tick over. 6

Ben Osborn. Taking his chance with both hands after a patient wait. Looks confident and comfortable at this level. 7.

Enda Stevens: Plenty to do with dangerman Traore in close proximity, but stuck to his guns. A fine second half cross almost yielded a breakthrough. Booked 7.

Oliver McBurnie: Saw a sharp header fly into the arms of Patricio when either side of him, it would have been a goal. Trademark desire and honest as the day is long, but got little change out of Wolves' back three. 6

Billy Sharp: In for David McGoldrick, he will have been delighted by one early second half burst to get away from Boly. Grafted for the team and his stealth was almost rewarded when he almost got to Stevens' fine second-half centre. 6
