Sentence after drugs seizure

Police recovered £15,000 worth of amphetamine powder in a search of a house in Dewsbury.

Officers executed a search warrant at the address in Pildacre Lane on May 5 last year and also recovered three pills from beneath a chest-of-drawers which turned out to be trifluoromethylphenylpiperazine, also known as “swim”.

The occupant David Haigh revealed he was acting as a custodian for another person to whom he owed around £1,000.

Haigh, 30 admitted possessing the drugs with intent to supply and was given a 12 months community order with 250 hours unpaid work.
