Serious accident closes M18 motorway in South Yorkshire
A series accident closed the M18 in South Yorkshire for several hours last night.
Emergency services were called to the northbound carriageway between junction one and two after a car had overturned at around 8pm.
The motorway was closed in both directions for a time to allow the air ambulance to land and take an injured driver to hospital.
A full investigation was carried out before the carriageway was re-opened.
