Six accused of sex offences against girl, 15

SIX men from West Yorkshire have appeared in court charged with serious sexual offences against a 15-year-old girl.

The alleged offences relate to incidents that took place in May last year against a girl who was found by police at an address in Ravens-thorpe, Dewsbury.

Six men appeared before Dewsbury magistrates yesterday.

Ali Rehman, 26, of Sackville Street, Ravensthorpe, is charged with three counts of rape and one of attempted rape.

Wahid Hussain, 19, of Broomer Street, and Hasan Rehman, 18, of Tanhouse Street, both Ravensthorpe, are charged with attempted rape.

Larasab Hussain, 45, of Headfield Road, Dewsbury, and Saqib Hussain, 31, of Huddersfield Road, Ravensthorpe, are charged with sexual assault.

Faifar Younis, 23, of Myrtle Road, Ravensthorpe, is charged with rape.

All but two were remanded in custody. Wahid Hussain and Saqib Hussain were granted bail.

The charges follow an investigation by officers from Dewsbury CID and the Safeguarding Unit.

The men are due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on October 12.
