This week, there's a huge variety of things you could do. There's a chance to put your skates on or learn salsa. You could see Sarah Millican on tour and attend a classic rock show. And there are opportunities to learn about stained glass or re-live a blitz on Sheffield.

Ice Cube (Millennium Square, starting Friday until February 21)

The Ice Cube returns to Millennium Square, Leeds, and will provide an outdoor skating experience for all ages and abilities. There’s a real ice rink with accessible skating for all, a nursery rink for budding skaters aged eight and under, a 40m-long Snowslide and the North Pole Starflyer. You can refuel and warm up at The Dolomites Cafe on the Square.

The BAFTA-nominated stand-up comedian and writer will be visiting Yorkshire for a series of shows this week as part of her UK tour. She has notched up appearances on several top comedy shows including QI, Mock the Week, Have I Got News For You, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

The Sheffield Blitz (Weston Park Museum, Wednesday)

Sheffield suffered its deadliest air attack of World War Two overnight on December 12 and 13, 1940 - and seeing this small display at the museum will give you a snapshot of what happened on that night. The blitz resulted in lost lives, destroyed homes and damaged city buildings - including Weston Park Museum. Some of the objects damaged on that night can be seen.

Salsa for Beginners (Kerala Restaurant, Wednesday)

Learn salsa from scratch with friendly and talented instructors at one of the most highly-rated Indian restaurants in Leeds. The first class is free of charge with a coupon from salsaleeds.co.uk. Doors open at 7.45pm and close at 11.45pm, with the last entry being 9pm. After 10pm, the lights come down and the music is turned up.

Classic Rock Show (Tuesday, York Barbican)

Celebrating their sixth year, the show will deliver some of the greatest moments in rock guitar history with timeless classics being played. From the opening sounds of Led Zeppelin’s Whole Lotta Love to Queen’s anthem I Want It All, via AC/DC’s Highway To Hell, it promises to rock you to your core.
