YOU COULD enjoy afternoon tea for two at the Ritz with Angela Rippon by taking part in our charity auction for Support Dogs.

This is just one of the host of the exciting lots you could snap up - and help make a difference to people’s lives.

You won’t be stuck for the perfect unusual Christmas present if you look at The Yorkshire Post from next Saturday to see what is on offer.

And this year we can even supply a special gift voucher too so you can package up your present for Christmas.

There are also tickets for the London premiere of a top Hollywood movie, private dining experiences or you could even tour the World of James Herriot in Thirsk and meet ‘The Yorkshire Vet’ Julian Norton from the Channel 5 series.

Each weekend over the coming weeks 10 new exciting lots will be unveiled.

The auction is this year sponsored by leading pet food manufacturer Wagg Foods, based in North Yorkshire.

Managing Director Richard Page said: “Support Dogs is a fantastic charity doing some amazing work to help people across Yorkshire. We might be the UK’s largest manufacturer of complete pet foods, but as a Yorkshire-based company we couldn’t resist getting on board with the Yorkshire Post’s appeal to fundraise for Support Dogs in the region. In addition to sponsoring the appeal, we will be donating some of our dog food products as auction prizes - there’ll be a chance to win a year’s supply of food and treats twice in the coming weeks.”

Clare Walker, director of Harrogate-based Cicada Communications who manage the auction, thanked all the donors of auction lots for their generous support.

She said: ‘There are super prizes up for grabs which will make great Christmas presents. We look forward to some healthy bidding when the auction goes live next week.”
