Special school site
looks set for sale

AN empty special school looks set to be sold off. Ganton Special School, which is owned by East Riding Council, became defunct after its transfer to Sirius Academy in Hull.

The council’s Cabinet is expected to declare the site surplus to requirements at a meeting next Tuesday.

However it will keep the five playing pitches at the school on Willerby Road, Anlaby. These may end up being transferred to the local sports clubs which use them, as their leases expire.
