Spraggan could join X Factor tour

X Factor star Lucy Spraggan could rejoin her fellow contestants on next year’s live tour despite dropping out of the show.

The singer-songwriter was forced to pull out of the competition last weekend after missing two shows.

Host Dermot O’Leary told viewers Spraggan was still not well enough to perform and had decided to take herself out of the running, but show insiders say a spot on the tour will be held for her if she wants it.

Spraggan, who hails from Buxton, Derbyshire, writes her own songs and has played guitar for years. She works as a portrait seller in Sheffield.

Her mentor Tulisa Contostavlos said of the 20-year-old: “She’s just an amazing person to work with. I’m going to miss her very much.

“We are still in touch, this is not the end of Lucy or the last you are going to see of her... big, big things to come.”

The X Factor tour kicks off in Manchester in January, before going on to venues all over the UK and Ireland.
