Summit to investigate growing impact of wearable technologies

Hide AdThe Yorkshire Post and the Enterprise and Innovation Hub at Leeds Beckett University will be hosting an event looking at innovation in technology and wearable tech.
Professor Mohammad Dastbaz, Dean of Arts, Environment and Technology and Pro Vice Chancellor at Leeds Beckett University, will be one of the speakers at the event.
He will be speaking about how universities can support businesses in the development of new technologies, and the role universities play in ensuring that the employees of the future are equipped with relevant skills and knowledge.

Hide AdJoining him will be Steven Webb, general counsel and group company secretary at electronics distributor Premier Farnell.
Mr Webb will talk about Premier Farnell’s approach to innovation including areas such as wearable technologies.
He will also be talking about the Internet of Things and the importance of developing collaborative partnerships.

Hide AdJohn Burrows, business development manager at Leeds Beckett University, will be talking about the funding that businesses can access through Innovate UK to support research and development.
