A 19-year-old man has been seriously injured in a collision involving his scooter and a car in Rotherham.

The teenager remains in Northern General Hospital, where he was taken for treatment following the incident in Hard Lane, close to the junction with Osborne Road in the Kiveton Park area, at around 6pm yesterday.

Witnesses are sought by police to the collision which involved a bronze Jaguar and a silver Honda scooter

The driver of the Jaguar, a 75-year-old man, was not injured in the incident.

Anyone who saw the collision or either the car or the scooter beforehand, is asked to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 826 of 21 January 2016.
