Teenage girl dies after car hits tree
A teenage girl died after a car hit a tree near Wakefield.
The 16-year-old girl was a back seat passenger in a Seat Leon that collided with a tree on Chevet Lane, Notton, at about 11.35pm on Tuesday. (Oct 1)
She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The driver had to be cut free from the wreckage by firefighters and is currently undergoing treatment at Leeds General Infirmary.
Two other passengers were also taken to hospital.
