That’s grand: Castle Howard takes its place among world’s top ten mansions
The Hon Simon Howard, whose stately home featured in the blockbuster TV series Brideshead Revisited, raises a glass after it was voted one of the world’s top 10 grand houses.
The Lonely Planet guide said: “Stately homes may be two a penny in England but you’ll have to try pretty hard to find one as breathtakingly stately as Castle Howard.”
