A THREE-YEAR-OLD boy is seriously ill in hospital after the car he was in was involved in a collision.

The boy was in a Vauxhall Astra car which collided with a BMW 335 at temporary traffic lights on Stanley Road, Bradford last night.

An 18-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been released on police bail.

The boy was taken to hospital where his condition was today described by police as “serious”.

Four other people who were travelling in the Vauxhall had minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at around 8.11pm, to call police on 101.
