Cyclist seriously injured in collision with car in Barnsley

A CYCLIST suffered a life-threatening injury when he was involved in collision with a car in Barnsley.

The 33-year-old man suffered a serious head injury during the collision with a blue Mini Cooper on the Stairfoot roundabout just before 1.30pm yesterday (Tues July 12).

It happened at the roundabout exit for Doncaster Road heading towards Ardsley.

The man was taken to hospital with a serious head injury and is currently in a stable condition.
