M62 blaze destroys seven Land Rovers
A DRAMATIC blaze on the M62 was caught on camera last night when a car transporter burst into flames - destroying its cargo of top of the range Land Rovers.
The transporter was carrying seven top line cars when the driver managed to pull over to the hard shoulder and escape with seconds to spare before the fire took hold.
The dramatic scenes, which caused long tailbacks on the M62 eastbound, were captured on camera and show the moment three of the Land Rover Discovery vehicles were completely destroyed.
The blaze broke out as the lorry was being driven on the eastbound carriageway from Scammonden towards Outlane, near Huddersfield, at 6.25pm yesterday.
