M62 slip road in Yorkshire to be closed for two days due to burst water main

A M62 slip road in West Yorkshire has been closed due to a burst water main.

National Highways confirmed that the eastbound exit slip road of the M62 at junction 30 (Rothwell) is shut.

Emergency repair work has been carried out.

However, the carriageway surface requires planing out and resurfacing. Anti-skid surfacing will also have to be applied.

Yorkshire Water advise that the slip road affected by the burst main is likely to re-open on the morning of Thursday, February 23.
