UPDATED: Man found dead after car crashes near Humber Bridge

A MAN was found dead in a BMW car around 20 hours after it is believed to have careered off a roundabout near the Humber Bridge.

Humberside Police said the red BMW 120 is believed to have crashed near the Barnetby Top roundabout junction in North Lincolnshire between 7am and 8am on Sunday.

The vehicle was found just after 4am today by police patrols looking for the driver who had earlier been reported missing after failing to return home from a trip to the north west of England.

The driver, a 21-year-old Grimsby man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the BMW had travelled southbound on the A15 towards Barnetby Top from the Humber Bridge when it is believed to have crashed and left the road, coming to rest on the roundabout junction.

Anyone who has any information is asked to contact Humberside Police on 101 referring to log 523 of November 1.

Humberside Police also dealt with a crash involving three vehicles on Hedon Road in Hull just after 6am this morning. .

That incident involved a black Vauxhall Zafira, a black Honda Civic and a white Suzuki Swift.

The man who was driving the Suzuki sustained injuries to his arm.
