Where new Sheffield bus lane cameras will be installed as fines introduced
New enforcement cameras aimed at keeping Sheffield bus lanes clear and improving public transport journey times will go live next week.
From Monday (June 1) new enforcement cameras will go live across parts of Sheffield from Monday 1 June.
The move is part of Sheffield City Council’s Connecting Sheffield programme to help ensure bus lanes are used correctly during their operational hours.
It is designed to make bus journeys quicker and more reliable, encouraging more people to choose public transport, the council said.
From Monday the cameras will automatically detect vehicles parking in bus lanes during the times when the bus lane restrictions are in operation.

Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) of £70 will be issued to the registered keepers of offending vehicles, reduced to £35 if paid within 21 days.
However, during the first month of operation, motorists will receive warning notices only rather than fines. This includes vehicles parked at bus stops within those lanes.
Drivers should note that any PCNs issued by on-street Civil Enforcement Officers during this period will still need to be paid or appealed in the usual way.
The enforcement cameras are located near:
- Abbeydale Road (corner of Miller Road)
- Ecclesall Road (near Hickmott Road)
- London Road (outside The Potato Oven)
- London Road (corner of Keeton’s Hill)
- London Road (near Bennett Street)
- London Road (opposite Randall Place)
