Whitby lifeboat in fishing trip rescue drama
WHITBY'S lifeboat was called out to rescue a man on a chartered fishing trip after began to suffer from chest pains.
The all-weather RNLI craft with a paramedic on board was scrambled this morning, and met the angling vessel as it made its way back to Whitby harbour.
The patient was transferred to a waiting ambulance.
Station mechanic Richard Dowson said: “We worked alongside the paramedic to get help to the casualty as quickly and safely as possible.
“Well done to the crew for such a quick response.”
