Tributes paid to Yorkshire biker killed in fatal crash near Hull

Tributes have been paid to a man killed in a fatal crash near Hull on Tuesday morning.

Biker Stephen Chapman, 59, was tragically killed when a dark silver Vauxhall Astra is alleged to have ventured onto the wrong side of Staithes Road, Preston, colliding with Mr Chapman's blue Yamaha motorcycle, just before 7.15am on Tuesday

Mr Chapman leaves behind a loving wife and family and they have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time, whilst they are dealing with their loss.

Humberside Police are continuing their investigations into the crash.

A 33-year-old man who was arrested following the collision on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet spoken to them to get in touch.

Anyone with information, or who saw the crash, or the vehicles prior to the collision is urged to call Humberside Police on 101, quoting log 48 of March 2.
