Two arrested over shooting
TWO men have been arrested in connection with a shooting near Sheffield’s Halfway Gardens on New Year’s Day.
Police yesterday arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after the incident in which an 18-year-old man was shot in the abdomen at around 3am on Tuesday.
Officers later held a man from the Beighton area in connection with the incident.
Both remained in custody last night.
