Two arrests for murder after man vanished

DETECTIVES have arrested two people on suspicion of murdering a businessman who went missing from a supermarket car park in West Yorkshire on Valentine’s Day seven years ago.

The men, aged 48 and 52, from Bradford were arrested yesterday in Bradford and last night remained in custody.

Sajid Saddique, who lived in Allerton, Bradford, has not been seen since February 14, 2007 after he attended a meeting at the Asda car park in Shipley. He has been listed since as a missing person.

But earlier this week police said new evidence had come to light which suggested he had been murdered.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
