Two hospitalised with serious injuries after Rotherham crash

A driver and his passenger are in hospital with serious injuries after their car crashed into a stone wall.

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward with any information about the collision in Rotherham last night (Sunday).

At about 7pm, a silver Vauxhall Corsa was driving along Hooton Road towards Kilnhurst when it collided with a pillar and a stone wall.

The driver of the car, a 22-year-old man, and the passenger, a 21-year-old woman, are both said to be in a serious but stable condition.

Police are asking anyone who saw what happened, or who saw the car before the collision, to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 1006 of 19 June 2016.
