Two elderly women were hurt after a car collided with a pedestrian and three parked vehicles in Harrogate.

The 80 year-old female pedestrian suffered serious injuries and is in a stable condition while the 90 year-old driver of a white Toyota Yaris car was also hurt and taken to Harrogate hospital for treatment.

North Yorkshire Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened opposite Lloyds bank on Cheltenham Crescent, at around 12.50pm yesterday.

Witnesses to the incident who have not already provided details are asked to contact TC914 Dave Lever of the Harrogate Road Policing Group by dialling 101, selecting option 2 and asking for him by name.
