Kayleigh Searle, 19, of Troutbeck Crescent, Mereside, Blackpool, was due to go on trial yesterday accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent but the Crown Prosecution Service accepted her earlier plea of guilty to causing grievous bodily harm but with no intent.

Her ex-partner, Reece Bourne, 19, of Harbour Lane, Warton, Preston, admitted child cruelty.

They were remanded in custody for sentencing on October 3.
