One missing after yacht and dredger collide
A sea search has been launched for a person reported missing from a yacht which collided with a dredger.
The Thames Coastguard scrambled a team to the scene of yesterday afternoon’s incident, about a mile off the seaside town of Felixstowe, Suffolk. One of the people on the yacht was pulled to safety but another is still missing.
The Felixstowe Coastguard Rescue Team, two lifeboats from Harwich, two pilot boats, a dive boat, the search-and-rescue helicopter from RAF Wattisham and other vessels were involved in the search.
