Stars line up to give charity a lift with help from celebrity snapper Rankin

CELEBRITIES INCLUDING Simon Pegg, Anna Friel and singer Eliza Doolittle have been snapped by top photographer Rankin for an Oxfam campaign.

All in all, a dozen well-known faces have been captured in various poses to highlight the charity’s Lift Lives for Good campaign.

The fund-raising drive, launched at the start of the year, aims to shine a light on the work done by the charity to help poor people around the world. Paisley-born Rankin, known for his portrait work, said: “This uplifting photo-shoot was great fun to do but it has a serious message: giving people the power to lift their lives can transform entire families and communities.

“Oxfam’s new campaign, Lift Lives for Good, shows the positive long-term changes that happen in poor communities when Oxfam helps just one person, who in turn helps the people around them. Every day, thanks to the support of the public, Oxfam is putting this into practice, saving and changing lives.

“I’m very proud to be part of that and hope others will also want to lift lives in some of the poorest countries in the world.”

Also taking part in the photo shoot were actors Bonnie Wright and David Morrissey, TV presenters Caroline Flack and Miquita Oliver, musicians Gaz Coombes and Nicole Scherzinger, radio presenter Gemma Cairney, Bradford-born magician Dynamo and model Laura Bailey.
