Updated: North Yorkshire road now open following serious accident
The man in his 40s was cut free from his Audi A6 after colliding with a wall on the B1257, a mile outside Chop Gate on the North York Moors.
He was airlifted to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough with serious but non-life threatening injuries after the accident just before 7am.

Hide AdYorkshire Air Ambulance joined other emergency services at the scene of the crash which happened just before 7am on the B1257 at Chop Gate on the North York Moors.
The road reopened at 9.40am.
