A police convoy escorted a slow moving lorry carrying a generator through Leeds.

The lorry, which is nearly 70m long, carried the generator from Goole Docks to Kirkstall electricity sub station.

The journey has been organised by National Grid with approval from West Yorkshire Police and Leeds City Council.

The lorry moved slowly and was escorted by six police vehicles to ensure safety and to co-ordinate any special manoeuvres required along the route.
