‘Vote of confidence’ in Leeds as FTSE 250-listed firm Greencore takes office space

FTSE 250-listed food producer Greencore has signed a 15-year lease at Broad Gate in Leeds.

Those behind the deal said the lease is one of the “most significant office deals in Leeds over the past year”, with Greencore taking 40,000 sq ft at Broad Gate in the heart of the city.

Knight Frank represented Greencore, while Colliers acted on behalf of the landlord.

Eamon Fox, partner and head of Knight Frank’s Leeds office, said: “Greencore’s decision to open an office in Leeds is a powerful vote of confidence in the city’s energy, ambition, and potential.

“By choosing Leeds, Greencore isn’t just expanding its footprint; it’s becoming part of a vibrant community that’s shaping the future of the UK economy.

Broad Gate is a 300,000 sq ft mixed-use development including Grade A office space and a suite of penthouse offices, together with four retail units.

The move comes amid a significant on-going investment in the site, including a new reception and roof terrace.

Alex Eshelby, head of transformation projects at Greencore, said: “Broad Gate already gives us a fantastic base in Leeds, and this investment reflects our long-term commitment on making it even better for our colleagues - creating a space that brings people together, supports teamwork and helps strengthen connections across the business.”
