A busy Halifax road will remain closed until Friday, with a burst water main at fault.

The A647, better known as the main Boothtown Road, was cracked open by gallons of water. The burst itself is situated just between the junction at Ploughcroft Lane and Claremount Road.

It is the main commuter route between Halifax and Queensbury.
