Bank Holiday weather in Yorkshire: Not quite beer garden weather as sun and showers forecast

For those of you looking to make the most of the first bank holiday since restrictions relaxed in England - be prepared.

The Bank Holiday weekend will see a mix of sun, showers and clouds

In typical English fashion - and much like this week so far - the weather still won't make its mind up.

Forecasters at the Met Office have said the weather will be changeable again this weekend, with sun followed by heavy showers. That won't be news to the ears of people looking to spend their weekend in the beer garden - and neither will the temperatures which will dropping to the low single figures in the evenings.

"Saturday: Similar to Friday with showers forming during the morning. These slow moving and heavy at times during the afternoon. Some sunny spells, mainly near the coasts again. Maximum temperature 11 °C.
