Storm Christoph Live: Flood warnings remain in place across Yorkshire as rain continues

 Residents in two homes in Huddersfield were evacuated on Wednesday night amidst fears overnight rain could lead to a landslip.

The Environment Agency says it expects the River Ouse to peak at between 4.4m and 4.8m above normal levels today. 

The River Foss flood barrier in the city is in operation.

Flood gates are also closed.

Flood warning update:

There are currently no ‘'severe flood warnings’ in place in Yorkshire - where imminent danger to life is expected.

However, flood warnings do remain in place across the county.
