Traffic chaos as accident blocks M1 between Leeds and Sheffield

COMMUTERS in West and South Yorkshire faced long delays this morning after an accident blocked the northbound M1.

Traffic was queuing between junction 39 at Wakefield and junction 40 near Ossett.

All lanes have now reopened, but delays.

Earlier this morning, delays of up to two hours were reported.
