The warnings are in place for heavy rain and strong winds.

Chief Meteorologist at the Met Office, Frank Saunders, said: "On Saturday Storm Jorge will bring strong winds and heavy rain to parts of the UK.

"On Saturday and Sunday, the majority of the UK is covered by Yellow weather warnings with some areas being covered by more than one warning, indicating multiple weather hazards.

“The heavy rain warnings for parts of Wales, South West England and North West England are indicating that some isolated areas of Wales could see as much as 100 mm of rainfall.

"Storm Jorge is not expected to bring wind gusts as strong as Storms Ciara or Dennis, but it will still bring gusts of 60 to 70 mph in some exposed locations during the warning period, which ends at midday on Sunday."

In Leeds, there will be heavy rain in the morning before clearing for a sunny afternoon.

However, from 5pm the heavy rain will begin again and last until 11pm.

Sheffield will see a similar downfall in the morning before clearing in the afternoon.

The heavy rain will begin again from 8pm.

York will only see heavy rain between 5am and 7am before it clears up.

It will begin to get overcast at 5pm and heavy rainfall will begin at 8pm.

In Hull, it will rain all morning until 10am when it will brighten up.

it will then rain from 8pm onwards.

The full Yorkshire and the Humber forecast from the Met Office is: "Rain and hill snow clearing during the morning. Dry and sunny for a time, but showers, wintry and heavy in places, developing in the afternoon, along with very strong winds."
