A woman suffered facial injuties when a man allegedly assaulted her in a bar.

The 25-year-old was in the Devonshire bar in Sheffield when a man she did not know is said to have attacked her.

Following initial enquiries and the analysis of CCTV footage, police are now asking for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

A 28-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone who saw what happened in the bar at around 12.30am on Sunday 12 June is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 41 of 12 June 2016.
