Cuban humidor auction tops $1.1m
Cigar enthusiasts have paid more than $1.1m (£657,000) for six hand-made Cuban humidors at the gala closing of Havana’s 16th annual Cigar Festival.
The hot item was a one-of-a-kind hand-crafted humidor packed with Montecristo cigars that fetched $235,000 (£140,000).Welsh singer Tom Jones was among the celebrities invited to the auction. He said he had been smoking Cuban cigars since the 1960s, but had never visited the country before.
