Ten more mudslide dead found
Rescuers using small bulldozers and their bare hands
have pushed through sludge strewn with splintered homes to find 10 more bodies in the debris of a mudslide, US authorities
said.
Despite the grim discoveries in the state of Washington as the search entered its fifth day, and the likelihood that more bodies will be found, officials were still hoping to find survivors.
Local fire chief Travis Hots said: “We haven’t lost hope that there’s a possibility that we can find somebody alive in some pocket area.”

Hide AdAuthorities say they expect to soon have an updated number of the people believed missing.
Officials are working off a list of 176 people unaccounted for, although some names are thought to be duplicates, and the number should decrease.
Two bodies were recovered on Tuesday.
