Yorkshire actor bares all

HUNKY Kenny Doughty admits it will be ‘weird’ getting his kit off in front of his mother-in-law after landing his dream job – as the lead in a new stage version of The Full Monty.

It means doing his ‘Sexy Thing’ in front of her, his mum, and all their pals at Sheffield’s Lyceum theatre.
Ironically, the 37-year-old from Barnsley and his actress wife Caroline Carver moved to Los Angeles – the acting capital of the world – to pursue their careers.

But he’s ended up coming full circle, returning home to play the leader of the group of unemployed steelworkers who try to change their fortunes as a male striptease act.

The Sheffield Theatres production runs from February 2-23.
