Yorkshire Air Ambulance
given boost

Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) has received a boost from one of its long-running supporters.

SICL has pledged help to the charity worth £170,000 over the next five years.

The Leeds-based technology firm says it will continue to provide YAA with free IT support, services and infrastructure, until at least 2018.

YAA operations manager Neale Jacobs said: “We cannot thank SICL enough for their continued support. As an independent charity, having support from companies such as SICL is invaluable.

“They have saved us over £125,000 over the last five years, which is a huge sum of money for us. This is equivalent to keeping us flying for over three weeks.”

The company first offered the charity a free support package worth £125,000 in 2006, after it had been the firm’s chosen charity for some time.

SICL managing director Cliff Fox said: “We have a great admiration for the YAA, operationally, personally and ethically.”
