Yorkshire heatwave, London deluge in North-South divide


The glorious sunshine in Yorkshire saw temperatures soar, meaning many of us – including youngster Sid Oldfield from Sheffield, pictured above, – rushed outside to soak up some sunshine.
But Londoners weren’t exactly singing in the rain as downpours drenched workers.

Hide AdAccording to the Met Office forecast, Yorkshire could once again be welcoming warm weather today, with temperatures of up to 26C this afternoon.
According to forecasters, it is expected to stay dry and sunny for most of the day, with cloud increasing later and a chance of showers overnight.
Tomorrow and Monday are expected to feel fresher, with sunny spells and scattered showers.
Meanwhile, in London, the thunderstorms and showers yesterday were expected to clear overnight.
Temperatures in the city were expected to reach a sweltering 28 C today, with more showers arriving in the evening.
