Young ideas sought to fight crime
Young people from across the force area are invited to enter this year's Crimebeat awards, funded by the High Sheriff of North Yorkshire's Fund.
Entrants can be individuals or teams from schools, youth clubs or community groups involved in projects to make their neighbourhood safer.

Hide AdEntry deadline is Friday, December 17, and the North Yorkshire and York winners go on to a national stage of the contest.
In 2009, the competition received a record number of entries, with a total of 1,750 prize money awarded to York and North Yorkshire entries.
The overall winner of last year's competition was a Rape Awareness Campaign from Scarborough – which went on to win the national competition, receiving a total of 2,000 prize money to develop the project.
The High Sheriff for North Yorkshire Richard Compton said: "The young people always show a great deal of initiative and commitment which I find inspiring."
