Hull road closures planned for charity run and Armed Forces Day
Road closures are set to be introduced in Hull this month for a charity fun run in Pearson Park and Armed Forces Day celebrations in the city centre.
Hull City Council has announced a series of temporary traffic measures linked to upcoming events, alongside proposed new parking restrictions in parts of the city.
The first road closures will be in place on Sunday, June 21, for the Pearson Park Peel Project charity fun run.
Vehicle access will be prohibited on the entrances to Park Road from Park Avenue and Pearson Avenue, as well as throughout Pearson Park itself.

The restrictions are expected to be in place between 10am and 2.30pm.
Residents will still be able to access their properties, while pedestrian access to the park will remain open.
Designated event parking will be available at Harris & Co supermarket, with stewards and volunteer parking attendants on site.
Further closures are planned for Saturday, June 27, to accommodate Armed Forces Day celebrations.
Paragon Street, between Chariot Street and Queen Victoria Square, and King Edward Street, between Jameson Street and Queen Victoria Square, will be closed to traffic from 7am until 6.30pm.
Separately, the council is proposing changes to parking restrictions in the Wentworth Way and Victor Street areas.
The plans would remove some existing no-waiting restrictions on Victor Street and Arundel Close, while introducing new no-waiting-at-any-time restrictions on Wentworth Way, St Quintins Close, Kent Close and Bellamy Court.
The council said the changes are intended to prevent parked vehicles from obstructing moving traffic and remove restrictions that are no longer necessary.
Anyone wishing to object to or comment on the proposed parking order has until June 22, 2026, to submit representations to the council.
