York road closures and traffic restrictions announced for June works
A number of temporary road closures and traffic restrictions are planned across York throughout June as maintenance, utility, construction and filming works are carried out.
City of York Council has announced a number of temporary traffic restrictions affecting roads, footpaths and public rights of way across the city over the coming weeks.
Among the largest schemes is the continuation of sewer maintenance works in Kings Square, with restrictions remaining in place until June 5.

The closure between Goodramgate and Kings Square will continue, while temporary two-way traffic arrangements remain in force in Kings Square and Colliergate.
Several roads will also close for utility works, including Wetherby Road in Acomb, Calf Close in Haxby, Queen Street near York railway station, and Eastern Terrace, where construction works are expected to continue until July 7.
Filming activity will result in temporary closures at Precentors Court from May 29 to May 31 and at The Shambles on the evening of June 4.
Elsewhere, Monks Cross Link is scheduled to close for highway maintenance between June 8 and July 5, while further restrictions are planned for Skeldergate, Dale Street, Kyme Street and St Saviours Place.
The notice also includes the continuation of a public right of way closure due to an unsafe bridge and a number of pedestrian restrictions linked to telecoms works. Diversion routes and access arrangements will be in place where required.
